How to Prevent Orkut account from being hacked

This post is meant for providing some safety measures to prevent Orkut account from being hacked. There is not much you have to take care of. Just follow the simple steps and never get your orkut account hacked in your life.

1. Never try to login/access your Orkut account from sites other than Orkut.com.

2. Never click on any links from the sources you don’t trust while accessing your Orkut account. (or while accessing any other Google services like Gmail,Blogger etc.)

3. Delete any links on your scrapbook, no matter if a known or unknown person have sent it.

4. Never disclose your orkut login details with anyone.

5. Never ever use Javascripts on Orkut, no matter whatever it claims to do. Get satisfied with the services provided by default! Avoid using third party Scripts which might be malicious.

6. Never get excited to see a site claiming to have 1000 cool orkut tricks for which you have to just log in to your orkut account. Don’t trust that site. That’s a Phishing site.

7. Never tick the box “REMEMBER ME” on the orkut homepage if you are surfing from a cafe or a public area.

8. Always remember to hit the Sign Out button, when you are done.

Orkut(You need to stay safer)

My orkut account has just completed 3 years in March 2010 and I know orkut very much.I have come across that there are some gangs in orkut who add some teens in their friend list,take their phone numbers and become personal with them.Then they just show their real side,showing the teens nude pictures.My friend Shaikna found out about this and we needed to inform you about this.You should never add these people.

Some guys are saying i will give u money or phone if you will cooperate for sex or othr illegal bad activities.You should never fall in the trap of these people so I have some tips.

1.Never share personal information with any friend you have added without knowing.

2.Whenever you receive friend request from an unknown person,you should first visit his/her profile and check that there is no bad thing.Then only you should add that person.

3.Make your scraps and photos available to only friends so that no other person sees them.

4.Dont try to meet any orkut unknown fellows for any offer or any purpose if they are calling you.Students awareness in orkut is main title.

5.Don't ever write your address in your orkut profile.

Please keep those points in mind and stay safe in orkut.
